I led this fun little project for the GM Defense team that won the army contract for the new Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV). I had a very short timeline to conceptualize and ideate around for very specific army regulations that helped guide the design process. Once the design was locked in I had to account for very differnet signals that are not commercially available on the retail side. Once this information was thoroughly reviewed the design had to be implemented at scale. The ISV is programmed for six different fuel types for the ICE program and has a BEV variant that are all easliy maintainable with 90% commercial off the shelf Chevrolet Performance components. Utilizing the global supply chain GM Defense can push parts wherever needed throughout different theatres of operation. The ISV is also a modular vehicle, with kits available to customize its capabilities for specific missions. It was very exciting meeting with the engineers out at Milford to see the project come to life.
