Response was nothing short of spectacular at the unveiling and I feel very grateful and proud to have been able to contribute to this project. I was charged with the graphic design and implementation of the Performance Data Recorder app. The app leverages the Cosworth (supplier) toolbox in conjunction with many ECU signals and the camera feed to record the vehicle metrics while on the track or the daily commute. The app contains many widgets that record acceleration, braking, speed, time, distance, G-forces, and different performance modes. Clean and concise graphics depict all of these widgets.
This is the main stage that houses all of the apps that the user sees while strapped into the cockpit. This was another portion of the system that I was in charge of, making sure each button state was precisely built out pixel perfect, layerd out in the stacking order, correctly named smart objects embedded in the psd's, released on time, implemented into the software, and validated in a timely manner.
This concept was iterated on a few dozen times for the UI layer and the video background was supplied through our design partners.
